“Like sands through the hourglass, so are the days of our lives,” said the voice of Macdonald Carey, welcoming viewers to the “Days of Our Lives” soap opera as a large hourglass appeared on the TV screen. “Days of Our Lives” was my favorite soap opera back in the day. I’m talking about way back in the “day”! We watched “Days of Our Lives” with our Mom in the summers 55 years ago. We watched her soap operas and then spent the next couple of hours playing board games, during the heat of the day. What great memories!
So much has happened since I last posted and I will make an effort to remedy that situation. It was a crazy end of the 2022 but the beginning of 2023 was insane. We started the year with some type of “crud”! We were sick as dogs and it took everything we had to get up out of the bed each day. We never had it confirmed whether it was COVID, RSV or just the old fashioned flu but we were down for almost 2 months and I had residual migraines until the middle of March. Follow that with my baby sister going on HOSPICE and subsequently passing on April 22. We’ll never take that cruise together. My heart was broken and adjusting to my new normal has been rough seas to say the least.
Fast forward to June 23, 2023 and so many things are happening. Navigating World Travel had it’s first anniversary and I’m so proud of the accomplishments we have achieved. Navigating World Travel is growing! I’ve taken classes for and graduated from all of the major cruise lines required courses. I’ve learned about most of the major hotel chains and mastered All Inclusive travel. I’m certified with Uplift and can book vacations using them for extended payments plan. I’m well versed on travel insurance. Travel requires staying up on all of the current trends, which are continually changing, so I continue learning so that I can guide you to a vacation of a lifetime.
We’re going on a Journey Cruise on the Carnival Venezia on September 29 and it’s a 15 day cruise. YES, I said 15 days! Here is the amazing itinerary.
