We’re another day closer to our cruise. It was good news today. We got our room assignment and we’re Deck 8 Forward. It’s always a chance when you let them assign the room but we lucked out once again. We’ve already booked our room for August 26 and notified our Uber driver. We’ll leave our car at the hotel. Even though we’re only 3 hours away we go the night before. We hate getting up and on the road at O Dark Thirty. A few months ago there was roadwork causing problems and they worked that out, however there was a bad accident that caused issues a few weeks ago. It’s so much less stressful going the day before.
I was in Wal-~-t this week and ran across a great deal. They had emergency ponchos for $0.97 each. As we are in hurricane season I’d like to be prepared. We’ve been lucky so far but feel it’s better being prepared. We also carry an umbrella in our backpack. I love walking in a nice, warm rain but being soaked and walking into a cold room, not so much. Randy’s starting to pack, I’m not going there. Many blessings for the weekend.
