Back To School Event

I just finished another week long event, advertising all things travel.  WOW!  What a whirlwind that was.   It was fun!  I’ve mastered scheduling posts for future posting and I met a lot of awesome vendors and future clients.  I also learned about companies that I had no idea existed and most of them are environmentally friendly.  It was nice speaking with people from all over the country and Canada.  I found out what types of vacations they were interested in and that gives me areas that I want to become more knowledgeable about and promote more.

Woo Hoo!  I’m not bragging, I am cheering. We are 10 days away from our Western Caribbean Cruise on the Carnival Vista.  We haven’t decided what we’re doing in Mahogany Bay and Belize as of yet.  We know that Belize is a tendered port meaning that the ship will anchor about 2 miles off the coast and we will take a tender boat (water shuttle) to the port.  The trip is about 20 minutes one way.  It seems that most of the excursions being offered are water sports and ziplining.  There is a lighthouse, Baron Bliss which we’ll stop to see.  As for Mahogany Bay, we’re leaning towards the “Magical Flying Beach Chair” which takes you to Mahogany Beach.  After we get to the beach, well I’ll just have to update you on our return.

There have been many protocol changes in what’s required for cruising.  They have relaxed the Covid vaccination requirements and more people are now able to cruise.  That’s awesome news for many people who have missed being able to cruise.  Pre-cruise testing for vaccinated guests have been removed beginning in September, determined by your travel itinerary.  This is long waited for news for many people.  Unvaccinated guests must be test prior to cruising.

The packing has begun and I’m getting all into checking and readying the incidentals.  With 5 cruises behind us since the pandemic we seem to be running out of some items.  Randy, of course, is the one who is already packing.  I’m a much closer to leaving type of packer which makes my husband crazy.  I’m experimenting with some new lanyards that I crocheted.  I keep you posted on the progress.  I think that they’re nice and washable.  Until next week . . . .
